Marcin

Consultant

Joined our team in 2007.

What did you do before you joined Roland Berger?

I graduated from Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) with degrees in Finance and Banking, and International Economic Relations. During my studies I have tried to gather as much international business and academic experience as possible. Among others, I was an intern at an international FMCG corporation and at a Polish diplomatic unit in Brussels. During my scholarship in WUW Vienna, together with a group of students from other CEE countries, I had a unique opportunity to learn about managing companies in Central and Eastern Europe. I started my adventure with strategic consulting in Vienna, where I begun my internship at Roland Berger office. The internship included, among others, a few-week project in Croatia. After my return to Poland I was certain that I wanted to continue my carrier with Roland Berger.

What do you like best in working as a consultant?

If I were to choose one thing I like best in working as a consultant it would be the working environment that constantly motivates you to perfect your skills. This working environment is shaped primarily by the variety of tasks performed, a tangible influence of our work on the performance of the companies we advise and, last but not least, by the possibility to learn on the job from broad and varied experiences of our colleagues.

What are your interests?

I cannot function without sports (windsurfing, skiing, rollerblades depending on the weather). I also love to read (especially foreign literature and press) and to travel (my last trip was a one-month voyage to Asia with a backpack).
