Business Breakfast – The future of the print media
On the 24th of September 2008 we organized a Business Breakfast in the Roland Berger office in Warsaw the topic of which was the future of the printed press. Many representatives of the Polish press market participated in this event.
In the first part of the conference Maciej Korzeniowski, Principal at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, presented key trends on the Polish printed press market. He focused, among others, on the changing pattern in the media consumption, growing competition of the Internet and declining press sales.
In the second part of the conference Alexander Mogg – Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants presented key conclusions from the study prepared by Roland Berger entitled "Print media in the digital age". He presented strategies that may help press fight the negative trends in sales e.g. focus on niche titles, investments in young readers and brand.
