Thematic block “E-Mobility – hopes and barriers” presented at 22nd Economic Forum in Krynica
At this year Economic Forum in Krynica there was more than 2,000 participants who attended the event among which, we could find management board representatives of the biggest state-owned and private companies, from almost every economic sector (included PZU, PGNiG, PGE, ENEA, ENERGA, TP SA, RUCH SA, PKN Orlen, Grupa Azoty Tarnów, Grupa Lotos, Maspex, Jeronimo Martins Polska, Kompania Węglowa, KGHM, Kulczyk Investments, PKO, PKP, RWE, Zakłady Azotowe PUŁAWY). Also economic media representatives and foreign guests were present (Wiktor Juszczenko, ex-Prime Minister and President of Ukraine, Jurgen Ligi, Ministry of Finance in Estonia, Diego Lopez, State Secretary for European Union in Foreign Affairs Ministry in Spain).
There were Government representatives as congress' honored guests such us: RP President Bronisław Komorowski, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Waldemar Pawlak, Sejm Marshal Grzegorz Schetyna, Minister of Transportation Sławomir Nowak, Minister of Finance Jacek Rostowski, Minister of Treasury Aleksander Grad, Minister of Administration and Digitization Michał Boni, Counselor to the Prime Minister Jan Krzysztof Bielecki.
Thematic block "E-Mobility – hopes and barriers" organized by Roland Berger, took place on September 5th and attracted a lot of Forum participants. Increasingly stringent emission limits of CO2 in European Union, high fuel prices and Clients expectations regards raising environmental standards on cars, resulted in manufactures increased interest in cars driven by electric motor. Our panel was devoted to answer following questions, if electric vehicles are not only fast and economical, but also if they are well adapted to the requirements and market realities? What challenges are waiting for the producers? Do electric cars become a real chance for energy companies?
